You’ll soon be joining us at Corbridge Festival 2019 – and we can’t wait! We’ve already announced our day splits, but now it’s time to announce the time schedule. Before we let you know exactly when to expect your favourite acts (hint: you’ll be screaming for some Scooby Snacks at about 10:20 on Saturday), we’ll let you know a little bit about the stages they’ll be performing on…
We’ll start with the obvious – the Main Stage. As you might have guessed, this is where you’ll catch all of Corbridge Festival’s biggest names. Expect to see chart toppers, national treasures and 90s and 00s legends! Over the weekend, this sensational stage will packed with excitement, hosting huge acts like Panjabi MC, The Futureheads, Ben Ottewell, Reef and Fun Lovin’ Criminals. This stage is bound to get busy, so be sure to arrive early to nab a good spot (especially to see a headliner). And don’t worry about finding it, because our huge stage is so easy to notice. Avant Homes (one of the UK’s leading property developers) are our 2019 sponsors – so a huge thank you to Avant for their support!
Once again, we’re delighted to have chosen the Dragonfly Cancer Trust as our festival partner charity - which means our beloved Dragonfly Stage will be making a return! Here, we’ll see fantastic performances by all of our alternative acts. Indie band Only the Poets will be playing huge hits like ‘Ceasefire’. We’ll also be joined by adored acts like electro-pop’s Twist Helix and the heart-warming Katie Doherty and the Navigators. If you’d like to spot some incredible talent in a more relaxed environment, our Dragonfly Stage is the place to be!
Our Northern Exposure stage will be revealing all of our undiscovered local talent. Get ready to hear brilliant up-and-coming acts like Sunderland’s alt-rock quintet Chain the Phoenix, Redcar’s acoustic duo Komparisson and Tyneside’s singer-songwriter Amy Hopkinson. Each emerging act has been carefully picked so that we can showcase the North East’s best new talent. So, if you fancy saving yourself a future trip to Wembley, be sure to catch these acts before they get famous! all of the acts are students at the Academy of Music and Sound, Gateshead. AMS specialise in music performance education – so a huge thank you AMS for joining us!
Of course, music acts aren’t the only entertainment we’ve got lined up, we’ve also set up a huge range of family friendly activities. Find circus performances, hula-hooping workshops and yoga sessions in our Circus Tent, or head to our Kids Zone for drumming circles and family raves. We’ve got more activities than ever before - and we can’t wait for you all to give them a try!
